Muslim Honour killing in England

Muslim Honour killing in England
Alarming rise in Muslim honour killings as thousands of cases reported to police last year.
London sees the highest number of honour crimes, with West Midlands second
Call for more support for victims as cases rise by more than 300 per cent in some areas and the culprits are hailed as 'heroes' in the community for carrying out the attacks, these so called communities are living in the dark ages, and these killings and attacks are by depraved and corrupted minds there is no honour in any of them!

Some 3,000 so-called honour attacks were recorded by police in England last year, new research has revealed.

According to figures obtained by the Iranian and Kurdish Women's Rights Organisation (Ikwro), at least 2,823 incidents of 'honour-based' violence took place, with the highest number recorded in London.

The charity said the statistics fail to provide the full picture of the levels of 'honour' violence in England, but are the best national estimate so far.

The data, taken from 39 out of 52 police forces, was released following a freedom of information request by Ikwro.

In total, eight police forces recorded more than 100 so called honour-related attacks in 2010.

The Metropolitan Police saw 495 incidents, with 378 reported in the West Midlands, 350 in West Yorkshire, 227 in Lancashire and 189 in Greater Manchester.

Cleveland recorded 153, while Suffolk and Bedfordshire saw 118 and 117 respectively, according to the figures.

Between the 12 forces able to provide figures from 2009, there was an overall 47 per cent rise in honour attack incidents in England.
Police in Northumbria saw a 305 per cent increase from 17 incidents in 2009 to 69 in 2010, while Cambridgeshire saw a 154 per cent jump from 11 to 28.
A quarter of police forces were unable and unwilling to provide data, Ikwro said.

The report stated: 'This is the first time that a national estimate has been provided in relation to reporting of honour-based violence.

'The number of incidents is significant, particularly when we consider the high levels of abuse that victims suffer before they seek help.'
'Honour' attacks are punishments usually carried out against Muslim women who have been accused of bringing shame on their family and in the past have included abductions, mutilations, beatings and murder.

Ikwro director Diana Nammi told the BBC that families often deny the existence of the attacks.

She said: 'The perpetrators will be even considered as a hero within the community because he is the one defending the family and community's honour and reputation.'

Calling for more support for victims, she added: 'For some cases, police and some organisations just help them up to a length of time, then they will stop. With honour-based violence, the threat may be a lifetime threat for them.
The problem is that there is no systematic training for police and other government forces in England, such as social services, teachers and midwives.'

She said that honour-based violence is an 'organised or collective crime or incident' which is orchestrated by a family or within a community.

Honour crimes mostly happen in South Asian, Eastern European and Middle Eastern communities, she added.

Ms Nammi added that 'lots of things' are considered to be dishonourable including; having a boyfriend, being a victim of rape, refusing an arranged marriage, being gay or lesbian and in some cases wearing make-up or inappropriate dress.

The association of Chief Police Officers (Acpo) said they were working hard to offer support to victims, and front-line staff had been specially trained to deal with complaints.

Commander Mak Chishty, lead for honour based violence, said: 'In 2008 Acpo published a strategy which recommended consistent reporting across England and Wales. We are satisfied that this is being done.

'We're now in consultation on a new strategy. All frontline staff have received awareness training and every force has a champion on honour-based abuse.

'Acpo is confident that any victim who comes to us will receive the help they need.'

A Home Office spokesman said: 'We are determined to end honour violence and recognise the need for greater consistency on the ground to stop this indefensible practice.

'Our action plan to end violence against women and girls sets out our approach to raise awareness, enhance training for police and prosecutors and better support victims.'

In 2006, Banaz Mahmod, from Mitcham, south London, was strangled on the orders of her father and uncle because they thought her boyfriend was unsuitable.

Cousins Mohammed Saleh Ali and Omar hussain, both 28, were jailed last year for a minimum of 22 and 21 years respectively for the honour killing of the 20-year-old Iraqi Kurd.

The victim's father Mahmod Mahmod and Uncle Ari Mahmod were jailed for life at the Old Bailey in 2007.

'Euro was flawed from the beginning

'Euro was flawed from the beginning is what the English first minister had always stated': Jacques Delors accuses European leaders of doing 'too little, too late'

Everyone must examine their consciences, says former architect of single currency
A key architect of the euro has claimed it was flawed from the start and efforts by European leaders to tackle its problems have so far been 'too little, too late'.

Jacques Delors, the former president of the European Commission, said that ‘a fault in execution’ of the currency, rather than the concept itself, had led to the crisis.

Mr Delors, 86, who led the commission from 1985 to 1995, played a central role in the process that led to the creation of the euro in 1999.

But today he claimed political leaders had turned a blind eye to the weaknesses and imbalances of member states’ economies.

In his first interview in a decade, he said: ‘The finance ministers did not want to see anything disagreeable which they would be forced to deal with.’

The Frenchman said all member states had played a part in the euro’s downfall and that ‘everyone must examine their consciences’.

But he did single out Germany for insisting the European Central Bank must not support debt-stricken members for fear of fuelling inflation.

The problems were fuelled by ‘a combination of the stubbornness of the Germanic idea of monetary control and the absence of a clear vision from all the other countries’.
Mr Delors famously clashed with Margaret Thatcher during the 1980s over his vision for a closer Europe.

But now he admits that Britons, whom he referred to as Anglo-Saxons, may have been right to express concerns that a single central bank and currency without a single state would be unstable.
‘They had a point’, he said.

His intervention, in an interview with the Daily Telegraph, came as France and Germany edged towards closer fiscal union to head off a potentially disastrous collapse of the single currency.

Mr Delors insisted that all European countries had to share the blame for excessive borrowing by countries such as Italy and Greece that have brought the system to the brink of disaster.

Such is the scale of the crisis, he warned, that 'even Germany' will struggle to find a solution. 'Markets are markets. They are now bedevilled by uncertainty.'

According to Mr Delors, the UK is 'just as embarrassed as the Europeans by the financial crisis', as some of the measures put in place to deal with the crisis pose a threat to British interests.

Prime Minister David Cameron has insisted British interests will be paramount if the European Union treaty is changed to help resolve the Eurozone crisis.

Mr Cameron held talks in Paris yesterday with President Nicolas Sarkozy ahead of next week's crunch EU summit.

That gathering is expected to focus on discussions about whether fundamental treaty change will be needed to help deal with the crisis in the Eurozone.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel insisted yesterday that such reforms were necessary and hailed recent steps towards creating a "fiscal union".

But British diplomats fear the 17 euro members could seek an agreement on new rules between themselves, effectively excluding other EU countries.

It’s time Cameron faced the real facts now, before he digs a hole that he can’t pull himself out of, the EU’s Euro was doomed at its start and the longer England stays a part of the EU as it is, it will surly drag England further down the deep back hole of its recession.

England goes on strike as big depression looms for 2012

England goes on strike as big depression looms for 2012

The big depression is coming, and the New Year 2012 is not going to be a very happy nor prosperous one for many of England’s people, with more jobs and home losses and a bigger squeeze in incomes as prices rise, especially the cost of fuel petrol and diesel which has almost double in this past 12 months making the cost of getting to and from work twice as expensive, and this British government did nothing to help, but in fact made the situation far worst? Putting VAT up and fuel duty up, many of those likely to lose their homes are those in the privately renting market, renting privately is becoming unaffordable to many families, as rents go up and pay comes down and those with mortgage’s that loss their jobs will lose their homes and will be unable to afford to rent.

All foreign aid should be stopped, until such time this British government pulls its self out of this recession, this money is badly needed here rather than tax rises and cuts in public service, it is going to come to that time? When it will have to be stopped because the English tax payers just cannot afford to keep on paying it?

Families with children will be worse off in 2012.
High inflation, cuts and the longest period of wage stagnation on record will see the spending power of the average English family plummet over the next five years.

An Institute for Fiscal Studies analysis predicted that average incomes, adjusted for inflation, will fall by 3% this year and further in 2012. The director of the IFS, Paul Johnson, said: "In the period 2009-10 to 2012-13, real median household incomes will drop by a whopping 7.4% – a record matched only by the falls seen between 1974 and 1977."

As up to 2 million public sector workers walked out in protest against changes to their pensions, and signs emerged of a potentially damaging rift within the Liberal Democrats in the wake of George Osborne's autumn statement, the think-tank warned that families with children will be worse off in 2016 than they were 14 years earlier as they cope with more than a decade of austerity.

The IFS's warning and the strikes came as the world's major central banks announced joint emergency measures to stop the international financial system from freezing up, and pushing the global economy into a bigger recession. The measures included cutting emergency interest rates on dollar loans to cash-strapped European banks.

A Downing Street spokesman said the emergency measures were necessary because the markets were under extreme strain. "We are experiencing a credit crunch and that central bank action is about trying to mitigate the effects of that credit crunch," the spokesman said. (But British MP’s ant feeling the crunch)

Not since the Callaghan government of the mid-70s have families come near to suffering a similar loss of income as the one now predicted to hit England over the next five years, the IFS said.

Lower income groups, it confirmed, will bear the brunt of the government's latest cuts, outlined by George Osborne on Tuesday. The chancellor's autumn statement signalled that the deteriorating economic outlook meant that there would be two more years of austerity than originally planned in his March budget.

Anti-poverty campaigners said the IFS figures showed that the coalition had shifted the burden of paying for the deficit on to the most vulnerable those on low incomes.

Alison Garnham, chief executive of the charity Child Poverty Action Group, said: "The IFS analysis confirms that the chancellor's new tax and benefit measures are a takeaway from low-income families with children to those at the middle and top. It is particularly perverse to reduce incomes of the lowest-paid working families by reducing tax credits when this is the group the government claims it wants to help through improved work incentives."

The oil price shocks of the 1970s forced the then Labour government to survive on IMF hand-outs and push through steep spending cuts and public-sector wage freezes. But wages recovered their previous spending power within four years.

The IFS analysis of the UK's current economic woes, and the coalition's reaction to them, both suggest that real median household incomes – where higher wages and salaries are adjusted to account for higher prices – will be no higher in 2015 than they were in 2002. A couple with no children typically enjoyed a weekly income of £437 in 2002 but by 2015 that will have dropped in real terms to £433. For a couple with two children the weekly income falls from £612 in 2002 to £606 in 2015. In the nine years since 2002 the cost of living has increased over 30%.

The IFS analysis showed the unemployed and pensioners living on state benefits would do better than working families after benefits were linked to the 5.2% rise in inflation. Johnson said: "Failure to index some elements of tax credits, and the reversal of decisions to increase child tax credits in real terms, will leave some poorer families worse off and will lead to an increase in measured child poverty."

The IFS based its estimates for the squeeze on incomes on forecasts from the Office for Budget Responsibility, the independent watchdog that oversees Treasury spending plans and which published its own outlook for the economy alongside Osborne's statement.

It blamed a repeat oil price shock for most of the cuts in real incomes suffered by England’s households. High energy prices were the largest single element fuelling an inflationary spiral that left many families far worse off.

TUC general secretary Brendan Barber said there was an "unprecedented crisis" in living standards. "You can't build a sustainable economic recovery on the back of people getting poorer," he said.

"Rather than further hammering consumer confidence with public sector pay caps and cuts in working tax credits, the government needs to put greater emphasis on wage-led growth, starting with a fairer tax system where everyone – including the super-rich – pays their share."

Shadow home secretary Yvette Cooper said the IFS report revealed the poorest 30% of households would lose more than three times as much as the richest 30%.

Official data this week showed English families' weekly spending fell last year to the lowest in real terms for at least seven years. They cut back on spending on leisure to try to pay for housing, energy and transport costs. One of the big pressures facing households is high inflation, which has left most people worse off in real terms.

Pay growth for workers in England hit a record low between 2010 and 2011, according to official data last week. Some pay went up just 0.4% on a year ago in terms of gross weekly earnings, meaning that incomes are tumbling in real terms, given that inflation stands at 5%. The Office for National Statistics also said the gap between England's highest and lowest paid workers had widened dramatically over the past year.

The IFS said one group whose incomes "are certainly being squeezed" is public sector workers. Its analysis suggests that the two years of on average 1%-a-year pay rises in the public sector to follow the current two-year pay freeze would be enough to wipe out the estimated pay gap between men in the public sector and private sector.

The think-tank puts the gap between public and private earners at 4.3% for men, taking into account education, age and qualification levels. For women the public sector premium is 10.5% and for both men and women it stands at 7.5%.

The IFS also looked into differences in public sector benefits across the England. "Looking at pay alone, public sector workers appear, on average, to do relatively badly in London and the south-east and really rather well in some other areas including Wales and the north of England," Johnson said. The findings echo Osborne's move on Tuesday to ask public sector pay review bodies to look into how pay can be made more responsive to local labour markets.

Following forecasts for contraction at the end of this year and barely any growth next year, Osborne was forced to concede on Tuesday that England risked falling into deeper recession. The resulting strain on the public finances led the chancellor to pencil in two more years of substantial cuts.

"That will extend to six years the period for which total spending will have been cut year-on-year," said Johnson. "One begins to run out of superlatives for describing quite how unprecedented that is.

"Certainly there has been no period like it in England in the last 60 years."

How the British Establishment think about England and its people!

How the British Establishment think about England and its people!

Here are a few quotations which show how the British Establishment think about England:-

Labour – Jack Straw
“The English are potentially very aggressive, very violent”

Labour
John Prescott – “There is no such nationality as English”

Labour - Gordon Brown
“the Nations & Regions of Britain” [Note he means that Scotland, Wales & N Irleand are Nations - England is only a collection of Regions !]

Conservative & Unionist Dave Cameron
“I’ll take on the sour Little Englanders, I’ll fight them all the way”.

Conservative & Unionist William Hague
“English Nationalism is the most dangerous of all forms of nationalism”.

Liberal Democrats – Charlie Kennedy
Said that breaking England up into EU Regions is good because “it is calling into question the idea of England itself”.

The ruination of 'THIS ENGLAND' started with Maggie Thatcher, repaired slightly by the Labour Government and now its back to ruination with the Maggie regime once again. The above mentioned parliament representatives should be HUNG< DRAWN AND QUARTERED. Traitors all of them

Whilst we maintain such a limp control over the low life scum; which includes some English people(having seen a recent Utube report of a young foul white woman on the underground)we will never be able to rise from the current ashes.

I think the powers that be need to stop confusing nationalism with racism. Yes, there are those who would impose a Nazi-style attitude, but they are the minority. Most of us just wish to be English, we are English, we also respect other peoples nationality, cultures, etc, that doesnt mean we cant maintain our own!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I live in Ukraine, having moved here in 2003 to work with disadvantaged children. As American English speakers are in the majority I am usually taken for an American, once Uhrainians realise I'm not American they say 'Ah, Anglishanka'. In other words, 'Oh English.' Isn't it strange that Ukrainians recognise England as a seperate country, but our own politicians can't.

One of the main historical backdrops to English culture is "Feudalism". It made us what we are, cunning, quiet watchers and merciless once we get the upper hand!
We never had a real revolution in this country, though that would have been no bad thing- so we have slipped into the murky 21st century by default.
The EU is the new feudalism and the serfs are being brought in from poorer countries to fill the gap the indigenous people won't fill due to being offered Serf+ status -by the 'last lot' at the so called helm.
It just won't work, especially as the global financial crunch will make it all doubly baaad.

Anti Engish racism is rife throughout the world ; in England it is permitted because (a) none of us fights back and because (b) we are expcted to keep a stiff upper lip and say nothing and (c) if we dare voice our outrage too vocally we will be accused of extremism or nationalism( or worse ) anyway. England itself is mainly full of foreigners anyway- most of whom loathe us while most politicians ignore the English because they want to keep the Union.

As England is dismantled brick by brick and our heritage and history are consigned to the bin, the anti English prevail everyywhere and we are letting it happen.

I am English and I used to be proud of it but the country I knew has gone.

We need to grow a spine and fight back like they do in every other nation on earth beforfe it is England RIP.

Hypocrisy is ruling, and ruining, this country and the world through greed and capitalism as it expands and changes everything turning all things away from nature and the earth’s natural living recourses. The problem initially comes from the misunderstanding terms of god and religion for all the opposite and wrong reasons and it works its way down through governments, politicians, authorities and within common people, that’s all you need to know about what is wrong with this country and life in general on this planet earth we call home. It’s all biased on power and a differential equation and it’s the size of that differential (in a wide range of ways) which the human race has got to come to turns with and minimise if it’s to survive and find the balance and harmony which as human beings is our destiny and birthright to show the way. Only a true Englishman knows how, why because it always takes one to know one, as being able to make the difficult decision with regard to self denial and self sacrifice and to care as much as possible for that which means more to a person than anything else which any true leader has to have. That which one thinks and says and does should always be the same, and as we all know everyone fails on this account making them a hypocrite and we wonder why nothing ever goes right. It’s time for the true English spirit to rise and show itself to demonstrate honesty, decency and equality and respect for nature and to invest our future in it, and to make the word ENGLAND a complete nation just as the whole world should be, giving us all something to feel proud about in our selves, for our children and the future. So fly the real flag of the true ENGLISH, the white dragon on a Black background, because we are at war with ourselves without really knowing it, and only this symbol will remind you of your own failings and inadequacy’s and demonstrate all that which is possible and achievable, no other flag does this.
